Happy New Year to all!

Typically this is the time of year we reflect on the past year and set goals for the new year. I thought I’d share a few items on each.

This past year for golf was tough. Rain and more rain not only hurt the number of guests we had, but also limited what projects we could work on. However, we were able to expand the parking lot, find the spring on #10, add 30 tons of sand to our bunkers, and launch new carts with GPS. We also continue to hear great feedback from all of you regarding course conditions.

In the pub, we have received a lot of great comments on menu updates and we continue to be your go-to place for fun activities and events (I even folded and we now have karaoke).

We also had a kick butt trip to Ireland with 35 members and friends, new and old. By the way, I am working on another ‘golf’ trip so stay tuned.

In 2024, we’ll continue to work on our goal of constant improvement for both the golf course and pub. Your feedback on specifics is always welcomed.

A few ‘resolutions’ from me personally include trimming 20 LBS off, getting back under a 20 handicap, and keep my shirt on for all promotion videos for at least one month.

Seriously, though, I want us all to also remember that everyone is carrying a burden of some form or dealing with a trouble in their life. So assume the best, be kind, and listen with compassion to those you meet. I know I’ll try to be better at this, too.
