February 2024 Notes & Events
Happy February!
We’re one step closer to opening day for outdoor golf season.
Darrick and I just got back from the PGA show and Owners’ Conference in Orlando. As always, there were a ton of exciting developments in golf course equipment, tools, management, etc. We’re always looking for ways to improve your experiences here. Here are a of things we’ll be implementing
- Our tee sheet will continue with dynamic pricing, the goal being the right price for the right golfer at the right time. Download our app for last minute deals and earn points toward further discounts.
- We’ll be instituting a wait-list program for those wanting high volume times. This will likely happen in June-ish.
- A cancellation fee (non-members) or temporary reduction in tee making privileges (members) will be instituted for cancels within 24 hours. We’ve had a number of abuses with this privilege in the past, preventing others from playing.
- We’re cutting back on apparel items and will be bringing back the larger selection of online products you can have sent directly to you (or a friend).
We’re investigating self-check options.
The course has been doing well this winter. Some of the updates we’ll be making as soon as the weather breaks include: bridge replacement, #12 drainage, installing new irrigation pump, fixing of #5 pond, deploying new mower, and paving more cart paths.
And, speaking of course work, we need to add to our grounds crew. Let us know if you know someone who would be a great fit for us. We’re also looking to hire a person or company to be in charge of our flower beds and minor landscaping. Again, let me know if you have any great leads.
Drumroll please…..We have another golf trip planned! This time, we’re going to SCOTLAND and staying in St. Andrews. Oct. 27- Nov. 3 of this year. For more information see me or write me. We have 28 spots total and 11 are already filled. We’d love to have you join us!
We have a Callaway club fitting on Feb. 10 from 3-7 PM. Not only are their clubs amazing, but you’ll get fit by a manufacturer rep in our sim room. And keep in mind their trade-back/trade-in program is unmatched. BTW – I was on a panel at the PGA show on simulators and on this panel was Michael Breed (from The Golf Channel). He told the audience why fitting in sims is THE best way to get the best solution for you. Ask me about it sometime or see our Facebook page for my video as to why.
Sincerely,
Randall & The Team
