September 2025 Notes & Events

Happy September!
Fleetwood wins the FedEx Cup, the Ryder Cup teams are announced, our club champions are crowned, and it’s ever so slowly cooling off. And… Golf at both of our clubs rolls onward.
In addition to an amazing time of year to play golf in Maine, a ton is still going on here.
From a gratitude perspective, our crew continues to make great progress on irrigation fixes, robot insight/tricks, keeping turf alive, and prepping for fall conditions. The team has also been aerating which will continue a bit later. Huge thanks to them for keeping our greens as amazing as they in a crazy long drought. Look for us to finish the year strong (like sod coming for #12 tee and some other areas…. Stay tuned).
Soon we’ll have the Foggy Meadows showdown. This year it’s held at The Meadows. Each of the first two years the home team has won. Will this year be different?
I try to show gratitude in each of these notes. This time I also want to insert a couple asks. (Club credit/memberships preferred but open to suggestions.)
- Anyone want to shingle the bridge on 3?
- We have a dead tree to bring down carefully (behind #9 green). Anyone? (Prefer to not take out buildings, people, carts)
- Number 10 long bridge is kaput. Anyone want to rebuild and place a new one there?
We also want to share that we’re thrilled to be the home course for Oak Hill HS and Univ of Maine at Augusta. We’re equally proud of the money we’re able to help groups raise through golf tournaments and other events.
Humbly, we thank our members this year and trust you’ll consider renewing your membership. (MEMBERS Keep your eyes on your email for early registration links this week!) For other friends of the club, we hope you consider membership and join our Meadow Maniac family. And even if you don’t become a member, we love having you with us here.
And not too far away is our Fall fun. Look for the pending launch of trivia, music, and more.
Fore!
Randall & Team
