April 2025 Notes & Events
Hey Meadows Maniacs,
Howdy, Meadows’ Maniacs!
The sunny part of the day is getting longer, and that white stuff on the ground WILL go away eventually—we promise. We’re this close to kicking off golf season in earnest!
We’re excited to have Andrew back with us full-time and to have stolen Devin back from the pub (sorry, not sorry). You’ll recognize most of the friendly faces in the pro shop, cart crew, and grounds team—everyone’s geared up and ready to go.
The course came through winter in great shape—greens are looking fantastic, we had virtually no tree damage (just some branches to clear), and the additional paving on #1 will make things smoother for carts.
Here’s what’s in the works for this season:
• Full deployment of the autonomous mowers (we’re looking for 4 sponsors to advertise on them—$2,500 for all 5!)
• New greens mower
• Halfway house update
• Ditch improvements on #11 and reworking tees on #12
• Continued pond upgrades
• More rock wall clean-up
• More cart path improvements
• Flower beds by Melissa back in bloom
• And more!
We’re also planning a Friends of the Course Work Day on April 19! If you’d like to lend a hand, sign up in the pro shop so we know how many to expect. Lunch is on us as a thank-you.
Speaking of helping hands—huge shoutout this month to Greg Ruby, his brother Jack, and Jack’s son Greg for installing our long-awaited parking lot light. We’ve wanted that for a while, and you guys made it happen. Thanks a ton!
We always appreciate feedback (good, bad, and ugly), so feel free to stop me anytime or drop me a note. Your input really does matter—even if we can’t always implement every suggestion.
Golf & Spain—there are still spots open for our incredible trip this October! Whether you’re a golfer or tagging along for the Mediterranean vibes, it’s going to be an amazing time. One hotel for the entire trip, great people, daily plans, and a gorgeous location—don’t miss out. Book it!
And lastly—memberships are almost sold out. We cap at 300 members to keep the course accessible and fun for all. As of this email, we’re at 272—so if you’re on the fence, now’s the time to jump in.
Thanks for all your support through the winter and into the season ahead. You’re all friggin’ awesome!

P.S. Hopefully, you’ve seen my updates about the proposed new tax that could hit golfers hard—covering carts, rental clubs, even range balls. We’re working hard to get this fixed, but we need your help.
There’s a public hearing coming up, and we’d love to see golfers show up:
