December 2025 Notes & Events
It’s the last month of 2025. Wow.
I’m feeling a bit nostalgic and thought I’d not do my normal club updates and such. (We have tons going on… look at the rest of this newsletter 😊)
In December of 2017, Darrick, myself, and our close friend group (story posted on the North wall) closed on the sale of The Meadows from the Fosters. That day started quite a journey indeed. That first winter we painted, worked on getting a full pub ready, hired staff, and endeavored to learn as much as possible about the business operations of golf. Our forecasts and plans said one thing, but now we had to do it.
With tons of help, we opened and we survived. We couldn’t have made it without the help of Richard and Ronnie, as well as Dawn, Mary, Dave, family, friends, and so many more.
Looking back at those pictures and thinking about how much we didn’t know makes us laugh. But it also makes us more than grateful for you. YOU are the reason we are here. Our vision was to be the place for fun, food and friends…. to be THE community place all came to. To be THE place for your special event or last-minute bite to eat. To be YOUR place.
Though I have a ton of stories and memories to share, please know that you make me smile. I love seeing faces I recognize and having conversations. I love when you introduce your friends or family that are visiting. I love seeing you are proud of your place.
You warm my heart. Love you. Thank you. And the happiest of holidays to you and yours.
